Biography

Bella Farny

Bella Farny was born and raised in Bern (Ostermundigen).
Music and dance have been an important part of her life from the very beginning.

In Bern at the ballet school Ivana Halamka Bella started with classical ballet. In Nice she attended jazz dance courses with Gianin Loringett at “Off Jazz”. In Paris she participated in dance workshops at the Dance Studio Sylvie Vartan and at Rick Odums Funky Jazz Classes.

After three years of dance training at the Colombo Dance Factory in Zurich in the subjects: classical ballet, modern dance and jazz, many dance engagements followed at home and abroad. This was followed by performances in revue shows at the Polygon Varieté Zurich, a Swiss tour with the dance company Sid’Art Lausanne and on cruises as a dancer and musical performer.

In New York Bella Farny trained at Broadway Dance Center and STEPS Dance Studio. In Los Angeles she visited the EDGE Performing Arts Center and the Debbie Reynolds Dance Studios.

In Zurich she studied acting at the acting studio Helga Mertens.

During this time Bella also specialized as Madonna-Double with commissions from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

“I take the role as Swiss Madonna-Double seriously and try to get as close as possible to the original. If I can also inspire the audience and sweep them along, then I have succeeded in performing.”
